@sysop @Amonmnrou as you can see in my last message I did not put a space behind the at user, and it wan't parsed properly. We are still working out the bugs on that. Also there is a limit of 500 characters per comment. We may increase that in the future, or on certain pages. We are also working on picture uploads in comments.

works a lot like other social media platforms. There are hash tags like this: sysop and (at) users like this @sysop
make sure you either put a space or hit enter after a hash tag (or At user) otherwise it won't be parsed by the system. You can also put links just by typing something dot something like this trueworldpolitics.com

Indeed, the links are not correctly being parsed on this hash tag page. It had been tested successfully on regular comment pages. Also, it would appear that the auto hash tag handler is not inserting the hash symbol onto the end of comments. Of course the (slash r) needs to be removed, as we did with the (slash n) to indicate the end of a text file.

We had to delete some comments that were posted on this page between 4/08/21 and 4/15/21 due to issues related to usernames that contained spaces and other disallowed characters.
Apparently, deleting the user folder for those accounts was not enough, the comment logs also had to be purged of comments that were made by those users as well.

Thanks for pointing that out. We will look into it. I suspect that it has to do with the line break not containing a space. There needs to be at least one space in the front of an @ user and one space behind it, if this is not done, the system will not parse it correctly. We may be able to code a script to induce a space when only a line break is present.
