I can certainly understand the spirit of the law, designed to prevent people from "dumping" their elderly parents in nursing homes; but it can cause their children to lose their own financial security and retirement funds if they need to quit their jobs to take care of the parent with dementia, at the threat of being arrested if they leave the parent alone to go to work to pay bills.

Talking about #History Here is a news story from Daily True American, Tuesday, June 27, 1882 detailing the hanging of an individual named Phillip M. Hotez, "a self-proclaimed savant of the medical arts" in the Dakota Territory.
Apparently Hotez posing as a man of #Science and selling some sort of Patent medicines or some such potions, poisoned some children, who's parents trusted him to cure their children.
I wonder if this Peter Jay Hotez MD PhD of Texas Children's hospital is any relation to this Phillip M. Hotez, the "Snake Oil salesman" who had his neck stretched in the Dakota Territory in June of 1882?

he (Kerry) pretty much says that free speech must be eradicated to save Democracy.
These people are tyrants and see the consent of the governed as something they do not want or need.
These are dangerous times for the Republic. the #DNC has become the party of censorship and totalitarian control.
If these tyrants are able to curtail free speech we are all in for a rough ride as a nation.

At some point you need to conclude that modern psychiatry and psychiatric diagnosis is no more a healing art than reading tea leaves, or having your fortune read with Tarot cards.
Unfortunately, we as a society give these people a presumption of legitimacy, and a license to prescribe dangerous mind altering drugs, with a medical degree of dubious value hanging on the walls of their offices.

These people used their vast profits from the #Oil industry to create the patented petro-chemical drug cartel that displaced perfectly adequate home remedies and traditional medical practice and even subverted #Science to discredit and crush competitors and corrupted the #FDA and other government regulatory agencies to ensure their monopoly.
In doing so, they introduced medicines into widespread use that often cause more harm than good, and cause the user's health to deteriorate and require MORE petro-chemical medicines in a downward cycle.
