I went and looked up "abridge" using Google's dictionary service to find out the exact meaning of the word "abridge", and this is what I got. . .

On the TWPTER logo, the eagle clutches a military assault rifle in it's right talon, and a bag of money in it's left talon. This criticizes the the United States Government and the multinational corporate interests that it serves.
